Oak Park has always been our home… and home-base. We started Out-U-Go! way back in 1996. Just out of college and joined by Scrap, David’s (our founder’s) loyal cattle dog, we set up a very tiny office on the corner of Chicago & Harlem, just down the street from Peterson’s Ice Cream.

Since then, we’ve been helping tails wag and bring peace of mind to pet parents across Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, and Elmwood Park.

Whether you’re away for the day at the office, busy working at home, or just running around town and need a little backup, Out-U-Go! is here to lend a paw. We love making life easier for busy humans and happier for their furry friends with dog walks and visits full of love, attention, and outside time.

David, our Top Dog and founder, is proud to be a third-generation Oak Parker. His family still calls the area home, and every one of them has walked the halls of OPRF.

Our team is made up of local folks who genuinely love the Oak Park area, its people, pups, parks, restaurants, and coffee. We love our coffee from Whirlwind Coffee, our paninis from Massa, and our strolls through Scoville, Mills, and Lindberg Parks.

David and his pup Ziggy, along with his team, have a personal understanding of the streets, parks, weather, and all the pup-related considerations for walking dogs in the Oak Park area. David grew up in the Oak Park and has lived in the area for decades.

How do I book a service?

Can I meet my dog walker beforehand?

Definitely! We know that a strong bond makes every walk better. Before we begin visits, we’ll schedule a time for your dog’s dedicated walker to come by, say hello, and spend a little time learning about your pup’s routine, personality, and care needs. It’s all part of making sure things start off on the right paw.

How long are walks?

Whether your dog’s in the mood for a short 20-minute walk, a 30-minute cruise, a 40-minute jaunt, or a full-on 60-minute adventure, we’ve got options to match their energy and routine. You pick the pace that works best, and we’ll handle the tail wags and happy steps from there.

Will my dog have the same walker every time?

Consistency helps your pup build trust and a strong connection with their regular walker – and that’s always our aim. But life throws curveballs. Illness, schedule changes, unexpected hiccups. That’s why we are firm believers that teamwork makes the dream work. We stay in close communication and support one another, so if your dog’s usual walker isn’t available, another familiar and caring member of our team will always be ready to step in and keep the tail wags coming.
